Newly elected MNA Waseem Qadir says he was backed by voters from both the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the recent general elections.
Qadir told reporters his personal rapport with constituents and track record of service drew support across party lines, despite the fierce rivalry between the two major parties. He said the outcome reflected public confidence in individuals over political affiliations.
His remarks come as disputes over election results and shifting loyalties continue to shape Pakistan’s post-election political landscape.
