Punjab Chief Minister has announced the launch of an electric bus service in selected districts, offering a flat fare of Rs20 per ride. The initiative aims to provide affordable, eco-friendly public transport while reducing urban pollution and fuel costs.
The project, part of the provincial government’s green mobility plan, will initially operate in key urban areas before expanding to other districts. The CM said the move will not only benefit daily commuters but also promote environmental sustainability.
