Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz praised Pakistan’s armed forces for their role in what she described as the “defeat of India” in the Marka-e-Haq operation.
Speaking at an Independence Day event, Maryam said the military’s courage and professionalism had safeguarded the nation’s honour and sovereignty. She credited the forces’ “unwavering resolve” for ensuring Pakistan’s security and deterring external threats.
She also called for national unity, saying political differences should be set aside when it comes to defending the country.
