Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has announced a day of mourning as the province grapples with devastating floods that have claimed 229 lives.
Heavy rains over the past week have triggered flash floods, destroying homes, roads, and crops. Rescue operations are ongoing, with relief teams struggling to reach remote areas cut off by damaged infrastructure.
The CM said the provincial flag would fly at half-mast and pledged full support for affected families, including compensation and expedited rehabilitation efforts.
