Islamabad, 22 August 2025 – Pakistan and China have reiterated their resolve to further deepen cooperation under the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), pledging to enhance high-quality development across multiple sectors.

In high-level discussions held between officials of both countries, emphasis was placed on accelerating ongoing projects in energy, infrastructure, industrial parks, and information technology. Both sides highlighted that CPEC remains a cornerstone of bilateral relations and a driving force for regional connectivity and economic growth.

The talks also underscored joint efforts to ensure sustainable progress, with special attention to renewable energy initiatives, agricultural modernization, and improved transport networks. Security cooperation to safeguard CPEC projects was reaffirmed, alongside a commitment to expand people-to-people exchanges and cultural ties.

Officials described the partnership as entering a “new phase of high-quality growth,” aligning with Pakistan’s development priorities and China’s Belt and Road Initiative vision.
