PTI would have apologized over May 09 incidents: Rana Sanaullah

Islamabad – Senior PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah said on Friday that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would have apologized for the May 09 incidents had it been sincere about national reconciliation.

Speaking to the media, the former interior minister said the violent events, including attacks on military installations, were “a direct assault on the state.” He accused PTI of trying to distance itself from the violence while its workers and leadership were directly involved.

Rana Sanaullah added that accountability for May 09 remains a “red line” and insisted that no talks could move forward until those responsible accept their wrongdoing.

The PTI has consistently denied orchestrating the events, claiming the cases are politically motivated.
