Paris (Aug 24, 2025) – Northern Ireland’s politically outspoken rap trio Kneecap took to the stage at the Rock en Seine festival in Saint-Cloud and defiantly opened their performance with a bold declaration: “Free, free Palestine!”
Despite vocal objections from French Jewish groups and government officials, including a warning from Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau to be alert for any antisemitic or hateful remarks, the band persisted. The performance was briefly interrupted by pro-Israel protestors, but security removed the disruptors and the show continued uninterrupted.
