Raging riverine flooding claims at least 25 lives in Punjab

Severe riverine flooding, fueled by torrential monsoon rains and India’s release of excess water, has claimed at least 25 lives across Punjab, officials confirmed on Monday.

Fatalities and major damage were reported in Kasur, Bahawalnagar, Okara, Vehari, Lodhran, Pakpattan, and Bahawalpur, where dozens of villages have been submerged, forcing thousands of residents to evacuate.
