Eight to 11 Lac super flood expected to reach Guddu: Sindh CM

  • The Indus River flood wave is moving downstream and will hit Guddu Barrage first.

  • Authorities have been directed to strengthen embankments and ensure round-the-clock monitoring.

  • Rescue & evacuation plans are being prepared for katcha (riverine) belt residents.

  • Sindh Irrigation Department is on red alert with additional machinery and manpower deployed.

  • Pakistan Army, Rangers, and district administrations are assisting in shifting families to safer locations.

  • Relief camps with food, water, and medical facilities have been set up.

⚠️ Flood Outlook

  • After Guddu, the flood wave will move towards Sukkur Barrage and then Kotri, posing a severe threat to riverine villages and agricultural lands.

  • The CM has appealed to people in vulnerable areas to evacuate immediately to avoid loss of life.
