  • Heavy rainfall predicted in Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, and Sargodha divisions.

  • Southern Punjab (Multan, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan) may also face moderate to heavy downpours.

  • Risk of urban flooding in major cities and riverine flooding in low-lying areas.

  • Strong winds and thunderstorms may cause damage to weak structures and power disruptions.

  • District administrations put on high alert for timely evacuations.

  • Rescue 1122 and emergency response teams directed to remain on standby.

  • Citizens advised to avoid unnecessary travel, especially near rivers and nullahs.

  • Farmers told to take precautionary measures to protect crops and livestock.

🪖 Ongoing Flood Situation

This alert comes while Punjab is still reeling from the massive riverine flooding caused by earlier rains and India’s water releases into Ravi, Sutlej, and Chenab. Relief and rehabilitation operations remain underway in affected districts.
