Court grants transit remand of Sindh minister’s brother

Karachi — A local court granted a one-day transit remand to Farhan Ghani, the brother of Sindh Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani, in an assault case involving an attack on a government official. The case emerged following an FIR—filed under Sections of assault, rioting, attempted murder, criminal intimidation, and Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act.

The incident occurred during underground optical-fibre installation work, where the supervisor was allegedly assaulted by a group led by Farhan Ghani. The court’s transit remand allows police to transfer him to the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) for further proceedings today
