DRAP issues warning on sale of counterfeit medicines’ batches

Islamabad – The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) has issued a public alert over the circulation of counterfeit batches of medicines in the market.

In its notice, DRAP warned healthcare providers, pharmacists, and the general public to remain vigilant, stressing that the sale of spurious or unregistered medicines posed a serious risk to public health. The authority directed provincial health departments and drug inspectors to take immediate action against violators and ensure removal of fake products from pharmacies.

DRAP also urged citizens to purchase medicines only from licensed medical stores and report any suspicious products through its complaint portal.
