On Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, Field Marshal Asim Munir, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu, and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari were among the prominent figures honoured with national awards.
The ceremony, held at Aiwan-e-Sadr, recognised military leaders, politicians, scientists, artists, and social workers for their contributions to national defence, public service, and cultural advancement.
President Asif Ali Zardari conferred the honours, calling the recipients “symbols of national pride” and urging them to continue serving the country with dedication.
