Pakistan, Bangladesh discuss direct flights, shipping links

Islamabad – Pakistan and Bangladesh have initiated talks to establish direct flight operations and shipping connections aimed at boosting bilateral trade and people-to-people exchanges.

Officials from both countries discussed proposals to resume direct flights, which were suspended years ago, and to create new maritime routes for cargo movement. The move is expected to reduce transit costs, shorten delivery times, and strengthen commercial ties between Islamabad and Dhaka.
