All federal and provincial departments have been instructed to work in close coordination to minimize damage and speed up rescue efforts.
The PM stressed the need for:
Immediate evacuation of vulnerable populations.
Efficient relief distribution (food, water, medical aid).
Protection of critical infrastructure, including dams, roads, and power installations.
He highlighted the role of the NDMA, PDMAs, and armed forces in managing flood response.

Torrential monsoon rains and Indian water releases into Sutlej and Ravi rivers have triggered severe flooding across Punjab and parts of Sindh.
Thousands of people have been displaced, with army and rescue teams already deployed in high-risk areas.
The PM said “a unified national response is essential to tackle this natural calamity.
