Punjab to adopt Japanese technology for clean water, waste management

Lahore – The Punjab government has announced plans to introduce Japanese technology to improve clean drinking water supply and modernize waste management systems across the province.

The initiative, finalized after discussions between Punjab officials and a Japanese delegation, aims to tackle long-standing issues of water contamination, sanitation, and inefficient garbage disposal in urban and rural areas.

According to officials, the collaboration will bring advanced treatment plants, recycling solutions, and eco-friendly waste management methods to ensure healthier living conditions for citizens.

The Punjab government said the move reflects its commitment to adopting international best practices to improve public health and environmental sustainability.
