Sindh inks MoU with Google for Digital Journalism program

The Sindh Information Department has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Google to launch a Digital Journalism Program aimed at strengthening media capacity and promoting ethical, fact-based reporting in the province.

  • Training & Capacity Building: Journalists from Sindh will receive specialized training on digital tools, fact-checking, and investigative reporting.

  • Focus on Misinformation: Program will equip media professionals to counter fake news, deepfakes, and disinformation.

  • Digital Tools: Google will provide resources and training on Google News Initiative (GNI) tools for better reporting.

  • Youth Engagement: Workshops planned for journalism students to prepare the next generation of digital reporters.
